S&P Credit Ratings
Standard and Poor’s Credit Ratings is a database with issuer ratings data for more than 20,000 public and private firms going back to 1923. It also includes data on over 200,000 distinct credit instruments going back to 1969. Further information can be found on the WRDS website (see links below).
Availability
S&P Credit Ratings is available to NYU through WRDS. The WRDS website has query pages, and the WRDS unix server (wrds.wharton.upenn.edu) has SAS datasets and SAS sample programs. On the WRDS website, go to COMPUSTAT, then look under Other Compustat for a link called RatingsXpress.
